Luke 11:52 “Woe to you experts in the law, because you have taken away the key to knowledge. You yourselves have not entered, and you have hindered those who were entering.”
The experts in the law interpreted God’s words.
They loaded people down with burdens they can hardly carry, and they didn’t lift one finger to help them. (11:46) and they had a key to interpret God’s word, but did not entered, and they hindered those who were entering.
Today, similar things are happening by those who preach the words. However, Bible is not interpreted by special people. There can be some parts that need interpretation due to some historical background, but God wrote the Bible rationally that God’s people can easily understand.
Therefore, we should avoid the temptation to give up on reading the Bible saying that the Bible is difficult or to try to interpret it too deeply.
We need to obey God’s words with a simple heart. To obey is better then sacrifice, and to heed is better than the fat of rams. (1 Samuel 15:22).
