The narrow door of salvation (Lk 13:22-30)

Lk 13:24 “Make every effort to enter through the narrow door, because many, I tell you, will try to enter and will not be able to.
25 Once the owner of the house gets up and closes the door, you will stand outside knocking and pleading, ‘Sir, open the door for us.’ “But he will answer, ‘I don’t know you or where you come from.’

To a person’s question whether there will be few who are saved, Jesus answered make every effort to enter through the narrow door.

When the door fo salvation is shut, it will never open again. At that time, many people will knock on the door saying they ate and drank with the Lord and the Lord taught them.

However, Jesus would kick them out and say ‘I don’t know you or where you come from. Away from me, all you evildoers!’ (26-27)

How many church activities that we’ve done is not the condition of salvation. In order to receive salvation, we need to enter through the narrow door. We need to have faith that requires obedience.

In this era, the precious grace that Jesus fulfilled with his blood is becoming a cheap grace. In this kinds of generation, we need to go through the narrow door and follow the path of Jesus.

Shalom and God bless!
